“If there is an underlying philosophy driving Trump, it is this:
Morality is for suckers. The strong do what they want and the
weak suffer what they must…Trumpism has become a form of
nihilism that is devouring everything in its path” writes David
Brooks of the Atlantic recently.
George Orwell’s 1984 spelled it out as well, this written in 1949-
“The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake… We are not
interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in
power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power,
pure power…Obedience is not enough. Unless he is suffering, how
can you be sure that he is obeying your will and not his own?
Power is in inflicting pain and humiliation.”
Welcome to today’s America where in a little over 3 months
Donny 2 Dolls is tearing down what took 250 years to build, and
with the help of Republicans everywhere. Most citizens would
agree there probably are better more efficient ways to manage
our government, but we should be yielding laser focused scalpels
instead of swinging chainsaws at departments and programs.
This is a coordinated machine with SCOTUS, The House, The Senate and The Executive Branch all under its control- one that needs new strategies to combat the erosion of the press, the judiciary and our constitutional rights that’s happened in the last 100 days.
Our most private data in the hands of Elon and more than likely, Vlad. Due process and SCOTUS judgments ignored. Our top scientists fired and research halted or censored. Who does that benefit? Well Europe for one where there’s a campaign to take them in called “scientific asylum”. Veteran services are mortally wounded. Markets rise and fall with insider trading and crypto currency scams profiting he and his friends. Payments being made to be in dear leader’s presence . Social Security, Headstart, Cancer research and Medicare all under attack…
Now’s not the time to be deers in the headlights clutching pearls.

It will take more than a harshly worded statement or appeal to
stop fascism consolidate in real time. The chaos of our current
events is textbook and designed to overwhelm and demoralize.
Fear, trepidation, helplessness and outrage rivet us in equal
measure. The need to check out came in the form of writer’s
block for me. Having less inclination to spout horrors and more
inclination to do the things that matter to me coupled w/a few
health issues, a hiatus was had.
In my absence my Big Balls of Good Trouble Awards go out to
Corey Booker who’s 25 hr Senate speech was hailed not only for
his rhetoric but his bladder control. Jasmine Crockett for forever
being on point and likening her feelings towards Donnie and
SCOTUS to being that of an abusive relationship. AOC and
Bernie’s overflowing red states shows or Governor J.B.Pritzker
who recently opined “Tyranny requires your fear and your silence
and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage.”
… and anyone anywhere that resisted in some way, shape or
form. If you ever wondered what you’d have done in 1930’s
Berlin, you’re doing it now.
Silence = complicity. Say something and more importantly, do
something (death scrolling not included).
