They’re firing lawyers. They’re firing watchdogs. They’re firing military
leaders. They’re firing federal employees and regulators… basically
anyone that could stand in the way of our soon to be oligarchy. One that wants to sell “gold cards” to any non resident investing 5 million dollars giving them preferential privileges and a path towards citizenship in order to “attract the right type of alien.”
Part coup, part corruption and an everything must go sale.
With the present administration’s ongoing efforts to rewrite history, America, now run by the Grand Old Party (of Putin) sided with the Russian dictator and hoisted its middle finger to our long trusted allies in Europe. By voting with Russia over condemnation of the war in Ukraine we’ve aligned ourselves with the likes of Iran and N.Korea.
Our new partners and a dramatic shift in American policy.
Volatility hurts markets. We’re all effected by the erratic and some say
criminal actions yielded by our president and his biggest campaign donor aka the richest man in the world or lately, the “Dogefather” taking a figurative and literal chainsaw to the Federal government while Trump fantasizes about Arnold Palmer from the 3rd green.

Gone are daycare and meals for hungry kids now considered “parasites”, protections for LGBTQ citizens, people of color and women’s rights, public info from taxpayer funded websites, medical care for 9/11 first responders, USAID around the world, scientists doing critical research, park rangers, IRS workers… Besides the civilian job loss over 6,000 Veterans are included in the carnage. Some of the media and courts have capitulated to Donald and company’s demands as well.
Ignoring the generals and past top administration officials, in their place instead of the best person for the job say to be Attorney General or run the FBI, CDC or State Department, presently unqualified conspiracy theorists and sycophants with conflicts of interest run every branch of government.
250 years of democracy in tatters a month into the new administration
that’s eliminating independent agencies and dismantling the government with the finesse of a ketamine fueled steamroller.
Makes you wonder about the pillow talk between Vlad and Donnie during their many late night phone calls. To paraphrase George Orwell, no one seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.
No doubt a Trump induced depression is en route– why my wife and I took 100% of our $ out of the stock market the day he took office and parked it in a Fidelity account which should remain safe as long as FDIC doesn’t fail or get compromised.
Fwiw the dozen eggs I bought yesterday were $8 but at least they’ve
stopped eating the dogs and cats.
Elon’s merry band of twenty-somethings have accessed your computer
data in direct violation of the Reagan era Computer Fraud and Abuse Act making it a crime for unauthorized individuals to trespass on a government computer. Just today 21 of the DOGE bro-brigade resigned saying they were “refusing to use their technical expertise to jeopardize American’s sensitive data and dismantle critical public services.”
I couldn’t imagine being young now and having to deal with the toilet of a world we’re leaving them.
If only we were smart enough to learn from our mistakes but we’re not.
